Angelica “Mika” Dela Cruz
I’m Angelica, you can call me “Mika” —— I’m a 26-year-old creative director, marketing strategist, and vision-executioner based in Manila, Philippines with a background in architecture and a deep love for filmmaking & cinema.
I lived quite an interesting life; I graduated with a degree in architecture where I wrote my award-winning thesis on how architecture in film shapes narrative. At 17 I started my own company while I was finishing my degree called Closet by Mika, a sustainable clothing brand. In 2024 I sold that company and started a new one — Vintage Weekend.
In 2024 I moved to the Netherlands for 3 months to work at BOAS Vintage and Arcadia and it gave me an international perspective creative direction —— allowing me to re-envision Vintage Weekend in 2025 and helped shape branding and identity of my current works.
Currently I work at Blanc Nue as the Marketing Manager and I oversee the creative direction of Vintage Weekend, recently reaching a career milestone with an upcoming event in New York City.
I’m a creative at heart, with roots in my love for cinema and storytelling. I’ve watched over 1,500 films (and I have a Letterboxd!), and take inspiration from directors like Coppola, Tarantino, and Fincher. I love to read philosophy—Adorno’s Aesthetic Theory remains a personal favorite and a lens I often return to in my creative work.
My diverse interests and experiences shape the way I build brands, stories, and spaces with meaning. My unique background and experience at such a young age adds depth to my work.
